Hyakurin sits down at the izakaya and starts chatting with a stranger.
Hyakurin finished up with Giichi, and he asks her to go away while he talks to Rin. "I need to talk to her. It's just something you don't need to hear."
Hyakurin is kinda upset with him, cause she can't pin him down. She can't figure him out. However, when she heard about his son, she felt a little like a door opened up between them.
She then drinks like 5 friggin bottles of sake and starts getting chatty with the stranger.
She starts asking him about kids. "No, I don't have any."
"But it's not liek you don't want kids, is it?"
"No, not... well, on second thought, that may be it."
Hyakurin starts to ramble a little about how a family is supposed
to be like a dream. Then she starts to reminisce: "Sometimes the children
die before the parents. It's sad, but it's not like it doesn't happen all
the time. Oh, I'm sorry, I was half talking to myself."
"No, not at all. At a place I know, the daughter died before the parents."
He goes on to say how there is an incredible power in a family, the bond between parents and children. he waxes poetic for a bit, and Hyakurin is just FLOORED. Almost crying. But then she giggles, hiccups a little, and realizes how much she drank. She also keeps saying, "You're such a GOOD man, aren't you? I wonder if we'll meet again?" "If our fates are connected, we will." Hyakuring takes her leave.
Of course, the man she as talking to was Anotsu Kagehisa. Funny that. They never knew what the other looked like.
Isaku and Dowa are wanderign aroudn town, looking for a watering hole. On the way, they pass Hyakurin puking in an alley, and both seem to recognize her a little, but they can't tell from where...
They make their way inside, and Anotsu calls them over: "Hey, over here."
They both blurt out "MASTER!", then realize that the whole point was to not draw attention to themselves, and they're like, "Crap!"
Anotsu lays out their next move, gives them some money, and tells them to do some research. He'll meet them again in a month.
