Episode 137
In this epiosde, habaki realizes that something is "up", after he was stabbed in the eye, and starts to get dizzy. Manji tells him how basically he kept that hairpin stuck throught his neck for a long time: They kept drugging him over and over since his last escape, and so he was rarely awake, but he realized that they wouldn't cut off his head, so he stuck it in his neck. And all that time, it soaked up a lot of his blood, and the sleeping medicine that they gave him. Habaki goes down quickly.
More samurai show up, however Rin and Dowa were able to let out a bunch of the prisoners, so the fortress is a mess:
As they escape, Hyakurin and Giichi have a small hand in helping the prisoners break past the guards.
Back in the cell, the executioner and his HUGE guard (Yamada) come back. The bodyguard pulls the jail cell bars apart so that the excutioner can hop into the room with them, and the next fight is on!
Episode 138
The executioner goes after Manji (armed at first only with a scalpel), while Rin jumps and straddles the big guy, trying to goude his eyes out with a knife. Manji tries hitting the small guy with the hairpin, but realizes that the "juice" is out of it, though he does scratch the executioner's head. He takes off one of Manjis arm, while Yamada dislocates, then relocates, Rin's elbow (she then falls to the ground in pain).
Just when things aren't looking too good, Rin looks up and sees...
...Isaku is BACK!
Episode 139
This one requires little explanation: It's a furious fight: Manji stuck in the corner, Dowa jumps in and takes on the executioner, and Isaku struggles with the bodyguard:
Dowa leaps in to the rescue, while Isaku and Yamada fight it out in the back.
However, the executioner deals a pretty solid blow to Dowa's head with the sword, shattering her metal hat-plate:
"Don't tell me that I'm the FIRST guy you've ever fought who could break steel?"
A little more cutting, a little more hitting, then Manji punches the executioner in the face, and frees himself at the same time.
Episode 140
We see Brand freeing some other prisoners, because somehow the cavern is starting to flood with water. Meanwhile, the fight continues between Manji and the excutioner:
However, after a quick aerial stunt, Manji comes down on the executioner, stabbing him in the throat with the scalpel and killing him.
Meanwhile, the waters keep rising, and the gang, while facing off against a group of about 10 samurai who found them, hear a noise from afar "Something is coming..."
