Rin is spending a few days tailing Habaki to try to possibly get an idea of where Manji might be kept. It's her speculation that, since he went to Habaki's last, that he was probably taken by him. So she expects that Habaki's got some sort of special personal plans for Manji, and wants to get to the bottom of it.
Later, she goes back to consult with Giichi (he's... well, changed a bit). Giichi talks to her, tells her to be careful. But she only talks to Rin when Hyakurin isn't around. In other words, he's trying to look out for her, to try not to get Hyakurin involved or hurt again.
That's a damn sweet scruffy drunken bald assassin right there, let me tell you!

Habaki on his way from home back to the castle (work). His wife and son are waiting for them, and his son announces that he took part in some sort of contest and won. His father is all samurai-like with his pride- He sort of grunts out his appreciation and smiles a bit. I guess that's like hugs and pats on the back in the Edo period. (^.^)
BTW, that's Rin standing over his shoulder there. Surprised that he hasn't noticed her... Or has he???
He hasn't. I'm just playin' with ya.

Back in the castle, Brand's... well, Brand's not doing so good. He's gibbering and doodling on the walls.
Brand's cracked, but to Habaki, he sees it as an opportunity. Immortality is a pretty insane idea, so maybe it takes an insane man to get to the bottom of it. He rehires Brand for the job.
There were cool bits... heck it's a Samura manga, there's ALWAYS cool bits. But not a ton of action or progress. So I'm going to give it:
