Rin and Dowa are wandering around the castle looking for an in, when they see a couple guys carrying bags... through a bamboo forest (very thick/unpopulated place)... large bags... that are stained with blood.
The ones dragging the bags are of the lowest caste, the eta or "untouchable" caste- the poor ones that have to do this kind of work.
Uh, yeah. Bags. Blood. They get a little closer to see what's happening, and...
Bodies. Lots of bodies.
Dowa notices that one of these really poor people is wearing armbands that look like (and thus ARE) Isaku's. She gets angry, jumping down to the corpse pile.
She pulls out her knives and starts running after them, but Rin holds her back (while stepping on squishy, smelly dead guys):
"Wait! Dowa! Stop!" (she doesn't stop)
"Dowa! If you do this, the head of Itto-ryu will be upset!!!"
Ahhhh, so Rin apparently (finally) guessed the connection between Isaku and
Dowa, when they talked to Doctor Koji.
Dowa stops dead in her tracks: "What... did you just say?"
And that ends this month's summary. If nothing else, they're going to have a LOT to talk about next month!
