Arema! It didn't work out as Iriya expected!

Makie catches his blade between her forearm and her thigh, and swings her polearm around from behind, catching him in the back. She then throws him over her shoulder.

Of course, Iriya is flabbergasted. "How could you have caught my sword? If my sword was turned even a little you would have been cut!"

Makie calmly explains to him as Anotsu and Rin look on-

"I know that you're a strong warrior, with habits reinforced by training. When you attack to the back, you have to turn your sword to pierce between the ribs for a more effective attack. I expected that you would have trained in that technique to the point that it came unconsciously. Therefore, I trusted that your thrust was naturally sideways."

That, my friends, is the level of Makie's ability. We thought that she kicked major ass. Now we know that she's a God!

Iriya, being half technique and half testosterone, decides that somehow he's going to attack her again. He grabs up a sword from the ground (that one in front of him), pulls the clenched hand off the hilt, and rushes her.

Makie, with no more effort than a cheerleader spinning a baton, quite literally disarms Iriya!

And that's where this month's episode ends.

Another month of fighting? Hmm... Well, at least it was interesting when Makie told Iriya how she blocked his attack.
