Mugen no Jyuunin

Background

The Gekitotsu from last month's episode continues. This month's episode is entitled something to the extent of, "You can do nothing but sit and watch the men fight". OK, in Japanese it sounds a LOT cooler.

Manji is trapped! ...Well, not completely, as the hook-blade weapons that he chose were able to snag the sickle in a way so that it can't close. But he tries to open it, but it only results in his own swords cutting his face. So he's stuck.

And that's how he spends most of the episode, really. Just chatting with Giichi with two swords and a sickle dangling around his neck. Giichi repeats the offerto join Mugai-ryu, to which Manji replies (above), "Do you really want a guy on your side who will say "yes" that easily?"

"Oh well then. Die."

And with that Giichi pulls Manji towards him, Manji struggling to keep the sickle closed. Giichi grabs Manji's sword and rushes towards him, and Manji intercepts the blade with his leg...

..which he begins twisting around and yanking on. Ouch!
