A flash back in time- Starfish Guy is a kid, and talking with his grizzled father, a hunter. His father is telling him the most important thing about being human: Power.

Later, his father is killed by a bear while hunting. The boy was smashed across the face, destroying his eye. The bear also has a damaged eye. With nothing but a knife, he rushes the bear.

...it's assumed that he won, right? Otherwise, he wouldn't be alive today. To be stabbed in the other eye by Manji!

But right at that moment, he slashes Manji really bad as well.

Ouch. Not good.

Yep, he sure looks dead alright. Oh, wait, you can't see anymoreymore.

Starfish straddles Manji again, feeling for the wound he just inflicted while preparing to cut off Manji's head.
