Nym drow male, W16: AC -5; MV 12; hp 36; THACo 15; # AT 1; Dmg by spell or weapon type: 1-4+3 (dagger +3); SA spells; SD drow; MR 82%; S 10, D 17, C 10, I 19, W 20, CH 18; AL CG.  Spells: see below
Nym is a reclusive drow elf that has taken up occupancy in Ppiratir Tower.  At the present time he proclaims himself the “Master” of the tower and takes on apprentices to teach magic and the ways of Salguod.  He is, however, not the master of the tower.  The real master, Jahanna Ppiratir still makes it her home many nights out of the year, but has long since let Nym run the tower since her ascension into immortal power.  She often helps advise Nym on the goings on from around Cinerarium and the outer planes while he gives her information on the local scene.  Most people believe Nym to be the master of the tower and as such address him accordingly, although the fact he is a drow elf has brought more than a little tension to Issa.  However, it has been one hundred and fifty years since he arrived at Ppiratir Tower requesting apprenticeship with Jahanna, and as such many Issans have grown up with him and those that have gotten to know him find him to be of the warmest heart.
As Master of Ppiratir Tower he teaches magic to those who show talent and those that can’t get into the Consortium.  There is also a shrine to Salguod in Ppiratir Tower where he holds prayers and trains those who wish in the ways of Salguod.
Nym’s past is about as dark as his charcoal skin.  He doesn’t talk about it and as such rumors have spread over the years about his origins.  Some of the more fanciful are the ones where Jahanna conjured him from the Abyss to serve her in magic and love, or that the bottom of Ppiratir Tower connects to secret Drow tunnels and that Nym is the leader of a slave operation, and of course that through her adventures she amassed such a fortune of jewels, coins, and magic that she hired a mercenary band of Drow that live in the tower and guard it forever from thieves and adventures out for quick fame and fortune.
Nym’s magical expertise is said to be vast, but as of yet no one has seen nor wanted the theory to be tested.  However, it is know that about thirty some years ago a large band of pokols came rampaging out of the Wet Forest towards Issa.  They were stopped dead by webs of crackling lightning that seemed to have originated from Ppiratir Tower.  No other large display of magic has been seen since, although there have been numerous tales of travelers or merchants being saved from brigands when the brigands swords rusted away to dust just before they dropped to the ground unconscious.
Nym is capable of 8th level magic and has access to most known spells, due to the fact he is allowed to use Jahanna’s spellbooks, library, and labs and also because he is still apprenticed under her and she often teaches him a new spell when she is at the tower.  Nym also has a wide range of magical items to use due to Jahanna’s collection and his own, both of which are quite impressive.  However, he will always have a Ring of Wizardry 1st-3rd and the Empresses’ Royal Cloak of Protection +5 both of which are cherished gifts from Jahanna.  He also customarily wears mithril Bracers of Defense AC3, a ruby and gold Amulet of Proof Against Detection and Location, and carries a mithril dagger +3.  He also has a Staff of Thunder & Lightning (21) which he takes with him when outside the tower.
Nym is a tall Drow with long white hair and crisp emerald eyes.  His face shows the fine lines of  two hundered and seventy one years of age, but he is still as vigorous as many a human of thirty years.

Rachel is a priest of Nixis who ran across Nym in her travels and was enchanted by him.  This is quite odd as usually its she who does the enchanting.  Even though she has seen many men as a wanderer of Nixis, yet none can compare to Nym in her opinion.  She will not, however, break her belief in Nixis to settle down in Issa with Nym but she does make it a point to come and see him often.  She brings him news from around the coast and deep in the Maestan Empire where her band frequently travels.
Rachel is a stunningly beautiful human female of medium stature, shoulder length brown hair, and hazel eyes.  Her coquettish smile and wink have often brought the sternist men to her aid.  Her body is very curvaceous and well toned and as a usual priestess of Nixis she shows it off nicely in thin wispy blouses and loose gossamer harem pants of black silk.  When traveling she dons a black hooded cloak, but rarely closes it over her beautiful frame.
Rachel and some of her fellow adventures make up the Nightingale Company.  The Nightingale Company is an adventuring  band based in Casthold, but is often out wandering the Tempest Coast and the lands beyond.  She is the leader and spokeswoman for the group.  Its other members include; Calla, another priestess of Nixis with larger endowments than Rachel, Rian Wayanmark, a strong and rugged human male ranger of Wan, and Triel of Casthold, a beautiful and talented female half-elf bard of Nixis.
Rachel customarily wears several magical items at all times.  She has onyx bracelets that serve as Bracers of AC2 which she always wears, slippers of elvenkind, and a silver ring with a black opal that functions as a Ring of Free Action.  She also has a silver dagger +2 hidden on her body, and a scimitar +1 “Talazaan” which rests on her hip.  She has the normal bonuses, special abilities, and spells of a priestess of Nixis.

Calla human female, P5 of Nixis: AC 5; MV 12; hp 38; THACo 18; # AT 1; Dmg by spell or weapon type: 1-4+1(dagger +1), 1-6+1(short sword+1); S 12, D 15, C 15, I 12, W 16, CH 16; AL CG. Spells: see below.
Calla is a fellow priestess of Nixis who followed her friend, Rachel, into creating this company and adventuring so as to fulfill their wanderlust and to smite the evil of the land at the same time.  Calla also follows Rachel to try and learn more about Nixis.  Rachel, Triel, and Calla are fun loving friends who share a lot.  It is not uncommon for the three of them to take over a tavern and take some lucky men upstairs for a wild romp!  It is rumored that most men can’t handle these vivacious women of Nixis.  Nym is one of the few men that these three women gang up on in bed and never seem to wear out...much to the liking of Nym!
Calla is taller than Rachel by almost half a foot but still retains sensual curves in her tall frame.  She also has a healthier bust than Rachel, which is often framed by her long black hair.  Her clear blue eyes and full lips have caught more than one man’s attention.  Like Rachel she wears loose black silk blouses, but often wears black skirts and black leather sandals.  Calla also wears a black hooded cloak when traveling.
Calla has a dagger +1 which she keeps hidden on her body.  When adventuring she straps a short sword +1 onto her hip.  She also has a meteoric steel ring with a black pearl that acts as a Ring of Shooting Stars.  She also keeps an Elixir of Health, and two potions of Extra Healing all of which are in stoppered steel vials somewhere on her person.

Rian Wayanmark human male, R6: AC 5; MV 12; hp 71; THACo 15; # AT 1 or 2/1; Dmg by weapon: 1-6+3 (short sword), 1-8+6 (“White Fang”); S 18/62, D 13, C 18, I 10, W 16, CH 15; AL CG.
Rian Wayanmark always loved the outdoors and often neglected his duties at his fathers smithery to run out into the woods and sit amongst the trees.  As he grew older he worked in his father’s smithery and grew strong and capable, but wanderlust soon came creeping into him.  Then when Rachel and her seductive smile came to see if he would leave with Triel, Calla, and her to explore the world he had to go.  Rian’s father cursed him for leaving him to the smithery, but he knew this was what he wanted to do.  After a number of seasons when the Nightingale Company came back home with some fame and fortune and gave his father several colorful rubies to smooth things over he accepted Rian back.  Rian’s dad then went and hired several assistants and rebuilt the shop.
Rian is a tall strong man with obvious Hoagite blood in him.  He has short coppery hair and bright green eyes.  His body ripples with thick toned muscles from years of forge work and swordplay.  He customarily wears leather sandals and long green over tunics pinned with a large well worn leather belt that supports his blades, a short sword and a long sword of Lethe origin.  The blade is an elvish blade shown by its fine lines and elven runes which spell out the word, “White Fang”.  White Fang is a long sword +3 Frost brand.  When adventuring or traveling in the woods he dons his studded leather +2 and a forest green hooded cloak.  Rian also has a composite long bow that has been specially constructed to fit his strength.
Rian enjoys being in a company with three gorgeous woman but gets jealous when they go tavern hopping, and wishes they were back out on the trail where at least they would pay him attention.

Triel is a gorgeous and incredibly talented bard that was trained in the Issan Bardic College and then brought her talents back to Casthold.  She played in casthold for almost a year before she joined the Nightingale Company and has since wandered the Tempest Coast spreading her beauty and talent.
Triel is tall and slinky, her emerald green eyes show her elven heritage with gold speckles and her long silky golden hair is purely stunning.  Her curves and ample bust show off her human heritage.  Triel wears loose blouses but usualy of light colors or whites and skirts of the same colors.  She tends to wear leather sandals or calf high boots.
Triel is considered a virtuoso of the mandolin, and she is also quite accomplished with W’s harp, flutes, and the lute.  She also has an amazing voice.  Rachel sometimes sings with her as she too has an enchanting voice.

Jasmyn of the Cloak human female, W17: AC -3; MV 12; hp 46; THACo 15; # AT 1; Dmg by spell or weapon: 1-4+2(dagger +2), 1-6+2(Staff of Power); S 9, D16, C 15, I 18, W 15, CH 17; AL CG. Spells see below.0
Jasmyn hails from Phizambir where she claims to be the most powerful sorceress in that city.  Over the years after making her claim she has had several mages challenge her, but all have failed in fantasticly explosive spell battles.  She currently resides in Dathden Tower, which many say is where she aquired her unusual cloak and other powerful magical items.
Jasmyn is a tall imposing and incredibly beautiful woman.  She has long black hair often tied in braids that reache all the way down her back.  Her eyes are hazel and change from deep green to a chestnut brown and everything inbetween with her mood.  She customarily wears light silk robes or skirts/ long loincloths and loose blouses.  Her cloak which she is never without in public is a beautiful red silk.
As archmage of Phizambir she has taken to providing herself with certain magical defenses and weapons.  She wears golden Bracers of Defense AC 4, a simple pure gold Ring of Free Action, a gold and diamond Ring of Mind Shielding.  Her cloak is a unique magical item that either she made or found in the tower after she bested its defenses and claimed it as her own.  The red silk cloak, which is her trademark,  constantly shuffles and bellows around her curvaceous body even indoors where there is no wind.  The cloaks functions as a Cloak of Protection +3, a Ring of Air Elemental Control, and a Ring of Spell Turning.  This cloak is one of her most prized possesions and has saved her many a time in a spell duel with a more accomplished but hasty wizard.  She also has a oak staff capped with gold that functions as a Staff of Power.  She travels, when not teleporting, by a Carpet of Flying (4’x6’) of Oerin make.
Jasmyn is a member of Nym’s Circle of Mages.  A group of mages that get together occasionaly to report to each other the various news they have heard about politics, magic, people, and wars.  The circle rarely if ever gets involved besides just talking, however, they are not against acting.  Rather they would let the adventuring bands earn their wages and just come in if it seems it will upset something they want or start something serious like a war.
Jasmyn is a young firey tempered woman that enjoys power, but often can become annoying as she flaunts it.  It has been rumored, correctly, that Jasmyn wishes to have a spell duel with Nym, with the winner taking the others cloak.  The cause for this is not known, however, it is rumored that at one early Circle meetings Nym playfully turned Jasmyn into a black cat which he then placed on his lap and stroked gingerly.  Jasmyn has since had a burning hatred/respect for Nym.  It doesn’t help that she found him quite attractive, but now feels she must redeem herself by beating him in a spell duel.  The real truth is that Garren Telgulanin a gnome illusionist and another member of the Circle turned Jasmyn into a cat as a prank and Nym just went along with it.
 Weapon Proficiences: dagger, quarterstaff, dart
Nonweapon Proficiences: spellcraft, read/write(common, elvish), ancient history(godsreckoning), artistic ability(painting), dancing, heraldry, riding land based(horse), rope use, swimming, gaming, monsterology

Garren Telgulanin gnome male, I14: AC 3; MV 6; hp 53; THACo 16; # AT 1; Dmg by spell or weapon: 1-8+3(Rod of Smiting); S 9, D 16, C 16, I 20, W 8, CH 12; AL CG. Spells: see below.
Garren is defiantly one of the more colorful wizards of the Tempest Coast even if he doesn’t make his presence known too often, but those that see him rarely if ever forget him.  He is an incorrigible prankster who just loves to have fun with his illusions.  He is soft hearted and wants everyone to have a smile on there face and hopefully some food in there belly.  He certainly leads by example because his small gnomish stature is rounded out by his ample belly.  His peppered beard flows down to the top of his belly and behind his bushy eyebrows are a pair of clear blue eyes that catch all that unfolds before them.  His face, or rather what isn’t hidden by the wild hair is starting to wrinkle and shows some signs of his one hundered and seventy three years.
He wears a tattered grey hat on his head all the time.  He also always has cotten white robes with gold lettering around the hems and wrists.  His spell belt snuggles under his belly and holds numerous pouches and spell components.  When traveling he dons a mouse grey hooded cloak.
Garren has a large collection of magical items that he has collected in his travels.  Even today he doesn’t stay much at his stupa, but rather wanders the Tempest Coast and Faumspur to help Nym out with intelligence work.  Garren loves this because he always gets to use he illusionary skill and he often gets to play pranks on those he is watching.  Garren and Nym are quite close because of their age and the fact that the two seem to connect well.  Although Nym often says Garren hasn’t the wisdom of a water buffalo, but he does come up with some ingenious plans that have the most interesting twists to them.  His stupa is on the outskirts of Issa and he sometimes wanders in to smoke his pipe and drink hopps at the Auld Militia Hall or sometimes at the Wagonwheel Inn if he doesn’t want to walk all the way into Issa.  Otherwise he stays home and enjoys a good smoke and some of his private stock of mead.
His hat which he never leaves his stupa without is a Hat of Disguise.  His robe is a Robe of the Archmagi which Garren got when he traveled into the ruins of Coryllia, something he will never do again.  Hidden under his beard he wears a gold gorget holding a diamond that acts as an Amulet of Protection from Detection and Location.  Also hidden on his body is a large quartz crystal that acts as a Gem of Seeing.  When traveling outside his stupa he carries a black metal staff with steel ends.  In fact the “staff” is a Rod of Smiting (39) but it fits Garren just fine as a staff.  Hidden inside his robe in a secret pouch with some Dust of Illusion (17).
